Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride has been named to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game as a replacement player for Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard, the league announced Tuesday. McBride, who was selected by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert, will take Howard's spot on Team Collier, led by her Lynx teammate, Napheesa Collier.

Minnesota Lynx star Kayla McBride was originally left off the WNBA All-Star Game roster. She'll get her shot though, replacing injured Rhyne Howard.

As commisioner Cathy Engelbert spoke, players took the floor wearing shirts that read “Pay Us What You Owe Us.”

The WNBA will need to fill Howard's spot on Team Collier with an injury replacement chosen by commissioner Cathy Englebert. Napheesa Collier selected Howard to her squad in last week's draft, pitting her against Caitlin Clark and the other half of the All-Star participants.
