It may have happened 38 days later, but the version of Rafael Devers the San Francisco Giants had in mind when they traded for him has finally arrived. The 28-year-old slugger had his best game of the season for his new team on Wednesday, going 3-for-5 with two home runs: one that was a no-doubter, and another that was hard to believe.

Rafael Devers appears to have broken out of his slump. The Giants designated hitter hit two home runs on Wednesday in San Francisco’s 9-3 win over the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park.

Very few hitters on the planet could do what Rafael Devers did on Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta.
