Nearly 100 employers — ranging from Boise’s Whiskey Bar to east Idaho’s Teton High School — gathered at Gowen Field Thursday morning for the Idaho National Guard’s annual Boss Lift event. For many, it was a first-time glimpse of what some of their employees are responsible for when out of the office.
ICE numbers gathered by the Deportation Data Project at the University of California in Berkeley shows the immigration enforcement agency made more than 300 arrests in Idaho since January, up from 77 in 2024. The New York Times reports those numbers represent the largest increase of any state in the country.

Officials say they received reports of a deceased person in the canal near Eagle Road and Wainwright Drive shortly after 6:30 a.m. Crews located the individual upon arrival, and detectives responded to investigate the scene.
