OpenAI launched an artificial intelligence agent for its popular chatbot ChatGPT on Thursday that can complete complex tasks as the Microsoft-backed startup looks to get ahead of competitors in the AI race.

If a website needs you to log in, you can do that securely through a special browser view, which lets the agent dig deeper and handle more.

OpenAI said this release marks the first time users can ask ChatGPT to take actions on the web. This introduces new risks, particularly because ChatGPT agent can work directly with a user's data, whether it’s information accessed through connectors or websites that a user has logged into via takeover mode.
