Education Secretary Linda McMahon is expected to move quickly now that the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the Trump administration to continue unwinding her department.

WASHINGTON − An ideologically divided Supreme Court on July 14 allowed the Trump administration to fire hundreds of workers from the Education Department and continue other efforts to dismantle the agency.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is moving ahead with a plan to cut 10,000 jobs after the Supreme Court lifted a pause on the layoffs.
