A suspect has been charged in the shooting death of a man found in an Ensley alley. Julius Earl Johnson, 57, is charged with murder in the Thursday slaying of 38-year-old Corey Lavel Tremble. The Birmingham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Team took Johnson into custody Friday in the 2200 block of 47th Street in Ensley.

Two Red Springs men are being charged with murder in connection to the Wednesday shooting death of a local teenager, Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins said. Tyron McLean, 30, and Tyrus McLean, 27 surrendered to investigators Friday night.
