Tampa Bay Rays Third Baseman Junior Caminero hit two home runs in an 11-1 home win last night against the Baltimore Orioles. He became the fourth player in league history to hit multiple home runs in the first game after participating in the Home Run Derby.

Caminero was the fourth Ray to participate in the Derby, joining Evan Longoria (2009), Carlos Pena (2009) and Arozarena. Caminero, who turned 22 on July 5, was seeking to become the youngest winner in Derby history. Juan Gonzalez was 23 years, 265 days when he won in 1993. Juan Soto was one day older when he won in 2022.
