Protesters gathered in parts of Maryland on Thursday to commemorate the life of civil rights activist John Lewis and to protest actions and policies from the Trump administration.

On Sunday afternoon, residents of Steubenville gathered to honor the life and legacy of civil rights icon John Lewis by engaging in what he famously called "good trouble." The protest was part of a nationwide movement marking five years since Lewis's death,

"Through struggle and sacrifice, I’ve learned power doesn’t come from a podium, it comes from the people," said Memphis activist Jose Salazar.
