While it’s expected to be a light Major League Baseball Draft for Pennsylvania prospects, two prep standouts are listed among the Top 250, according to MLB.com. Governor Mifflin righthander Ethan Grim, who signed with Virginia Tech, sits at No. 192 while Tamaqua’s Mason Ligenza, a Pitt recruit, is at No. 217.

Penn State baseball outfielder Paxton Kling was selected 205th overall by the Texas Rangers in the 2025 MLB Draft. The junior from Blair County was rated by MLB.com as the best prospect coming out of Pennsylvania in this year’s class and the 162nd ranked prospect in the draft.

With 24 picks in 20 rounds, including four first-round selections, this draft might be the Orioles’ most important in years. In total, the Orioles drafted 21 college players, three high schoolers, 13 pitchers and 11 hitters.
