Superman introduced several stars to the rebooted DCU, but many of them have already appeared in other comic book projects.

With over $250 million at the global box office in less than week, James Gunn’s “Superman” is widely considered a win for the new DC Universe that Gunn and Peter Safran are spearheading at DC Studios.

"How can someone not think it’s real? I don’t understand," said Gunn in an interview with Josh Horowitz on the Sad Happy Confused Podcast. "So, in the test screenings people were like ‘is it real?’ you know, AI, nobody trusts anything."
