Sean Longstaff's Newcastle United exit is drawing closer as the academy graduate bids farewell to the club he has called home for over 20 years. The midfielder, who struggled for game time under Eddie Howe last term, is closing in on a move to Leeds United that will see him once again earn regular minutes, while remaining close to the north east.

As an academy graduate, Longstaff wanted his boyhood team to be compensated rather than face losing him as a free agent next summer.
