Cam Heyward does not want to see Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt leave the team. On the Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday, Heyward was asked about Watt leaving and expressed hopes that this is not the last season they play together.
Should the Steelers have any level of interest in trading Watt, there are quite a few teams around the NFL who would love to have a chance to acquire him. He is coming off of a 2024 season that saw him rack up 61 tackles, 11.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four defended passes.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly doing their "due diligence" regarding current contract negotiations with veteran pass rusher T.J. Watt. And while a trade is not expected at this time, if the situation continues to worsen ahead of training camp, moving on is not out of the cards.
The Steelers aren't looking to trade T.J. Watt, but the parties haven't yet reached an agreement on a contract extension.
